Elliott Hudson College expands with £4.8 million upgrade at White Rose Park

By White Rose Park February 2024

The Elliott Hudson College is gearing up for a transformative expansion at the White Rose Park, thanks to a substantial new £4.8 million investment.

As one of the first out-of-town business campuses to merge commerce with education on-site, White Rose Park is proud to see the further expansion of the EHC to help pave the way for the next generation of bright minds, leaders, and thinkers.

Since establishing itself at White Rose Park in 2017, the Elliott Hudson College has become an integral part of the thriving business and educational community here. Now, with plans to take further space in another building, the college is preparing for an 11,300 sq ft expansion, set to create a host of new state-of-the-art classrooms, study areas, offices, and cutting-edge learning facilities.

It’s still early days, with work set to commence around Easter 2024, the decision to expand the college in response to the ongoing surplus of applications speaks volumes about their outstanding reputation. This move perfectly aligns with Elliott Hudson College’s goal of empowering young students to reach their highest potential.

Lee Styles, Principal of Elliott Hudson College, shared his excitement about the expansion, stating:

“It’s very exciting to be expanding, we’re a very inclusive college who strive to ensure that all young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, have the opportunity to secure the Gift of Choice. This expansion means that we can grow our community and offer transformative opportunities to a much wider scope of young people in Leeds and surrounding areas.”

In the meantime, the college has been working hard behind-the-scenes to improve their students’ experience. Working alongside Taylor Shaw, a catering specialist in the education sector, they became the first to implement a fully digital and cashless catering operation.

This partnership has recently been extended for three more years, promising to make lunchtimes even easier with extra self-serve kiosks, grab-and-go counters, and more.

Plus, after diversifying the curriculum with more vocational subjects and the prospect of an increased student body, exciting opportunities are emerging for teaching and support staff roles.
