White Rose Office Park leads the way in prevention of Coronavirus

By White Rose Park July 2020

This month we installed a novel multi-symptom scanner at our on-site Twinkles Nursery to provide staff and families with a safe means to test for symptoms of coronaviruses including COVID-19.

Our owners, Munroe K, partnered with UtterBerry, who provide a range of artificially intelligent wireless smart sensor systems, to bring their innovative scanner to the Park. Based in London and exporting across the globe, UtterBerry designs and develops its own hardware and software and manufactures its smart sensors. The smart scanner used at the park enables contactless testing for the symptoms of COVID-19 and can measure temperature and analyse the vein imaging whilst its advanced AI can detect the hallmarks of the particular cough associated with the virus.

The multi-symptom scanner has been installed in the entrance to the nursery, which has provided childcare provision for key workers throughout the pandemic, and it will enable staff and parents to safely and quickly test themselves on a daily basis to identify early warning signs of potential infection.

David Aspin, owner of Munroe K said:

“Being able to help protect our nursery staff, who provide a vital service for our key workers and their families, is really important to everyone at the White Rose Office Park. UtterBerry’s innovative technology has allowed us to provide them with this protection and we are excited to have partnered with them in bringing their technology to Leeds. I’d like to thank Heba and her team for their time and efforts in making this possible and look forward to working with them in the future as we adopt their sensors across the park.”

Heba Bevan, founder and CEO of UtterBerry said:

“Innovation is at the heart of what UtterBerry does and innovation to benefit society is one of UtterBerry’s core goals. We are very glad to make the initial deployment of our multi-COVID-19 symptom scanner device at Twinkles Nursery in White Rose Park, Leeds, to help keep nursery staff, children and their families safe. It is great to see David Aspin, Jill Johnson and their staff caring for the health of others and investigating new technology to prevent the spread of the disease.”

Jill Johnson, owner of Twinkles Nursery said:

“We are delighted to work with UtterBerry to be the first nursery using this technology to assist us in keeping everyone safe during this very challenging time. The health of everyone who comes to our nurseries is paramount and under constant review and we are over the moon to be using such truly innovative technology to provide this added confidence.”
