Taking care of our community’s health and wellbeing is a true priority for us, and it’s something we want to become even more committed to in 2023. After all, people are the very heart of what makes our vibrant community at White Rose Park.
In 2021, we partnered with the award-winning wellbeing experts at hero in order to take our health and wellbeing strategy to the next level. Since then, we’ve been able to implement a more rounded wellness strategy, combining modern technology and in-person programmes to give our community a real platform for health focus.
For the upcoming year, we’ve planned a complete wellbeing strategy of events and programmes for everyone at the Park, all in collaboration with our friends at hero. Here’s a look at what we’ve got coming up in the first few months of 2023:
What’s on our 2023 health and wellbeing calendar
6th February: hero Health Kiosk arrives
First up, Monday 6th February will see some new kit arrive at the Park, with an exciting piece of health-focused technology being installed. We’re delighted that we’re going to have our very own hero Health Kiosk for an entire month, offering everyone at WRP a go-to tool for checking their vital health markers and starting or maintaining a focus on their wellness this year.
Collecting and monitoring data on various aspects of physical health, such as height, weight, BMI, blood pressure and more, this innovative piece of tech offers thorough, real-time health checks for anyone on-site. Completely free of charge with unlimited access for the entire month, all results can be sent straight to an email inbox to help our community monitor their progress at regular intervals and stay on track for their personal goals.
Paired with the hero wellbeing platform, where members have free access to a library of healthy recipes and a wealth of fitness tips, all statistics from the kiosk can be inputted straight into hero Navigator app, making it even easier to track progress.
February: Weekly yoga returns
We’re excited to announce that we’re also bringing back our weekly yoga sessions in February, expertly led by the in-house instructors from hero. And when the warm weather rolls back round, we’ll be taking these sessions outside to the tranquillity of the Chelsea Garden.
The first session kicks off on 8th February; the perfect way for anyone at the Park to do something different on their lunch break, connect with their inner peace and enjoy 45 minutes of yoga and mindfulness.
White Rose Park hero Wellbeing Champions
Helping others on their own wellbeing journey – both mentally and physically – is a great way to spread positivity, feel good and help others do the same, and it’s something we’re big advocates of here at White Rose Park.
In 2023 we’ll be hosting in-person, CPD accredited training courses, to create our own network of White Rose Park hero Wellbeing Champions. Led by experienced specialists from hero, we’ll be creating a team of wellbeing ambassadors for our community, ready to advocate good health and wellbeing to colleagues all across the Park.
Mental health is just as important as physical health, but understanding the ins and outs of what makes a healthy mind, and learning how to take steps to make changes can be a challenge.
This year we’re running an entire calendar of seminars throughout the year, covering a variety of topics relating to different aspects of mental health and wellbeing. Covering a multitude of topics such as managing grief, stress, drinking and more, these seminars will offer our White Rose Park community a whole host of important insights and information.
Personal training sessions in the Outdoor Training Park
Come summer 2023, we’ll be launching on-site PT sessions, again led by professional fitness instructors from hero. Utilising our state-of-the-art Outdoor Training Park we’ll have a personal trainer on-site twice a week to offer tips, training advice and programmes to our people.
This is just a taste of what’s in store for 2023 at White Rose Park, and we’re looking forward to adding even more to the calendar as the year goes on. Watch this space!
